Pillars of our Faith

                                          T h e    p i l l a r s    o f    o u r     f a i t h

                                   The  Second  Advent  of  Christ

 — Jesus' First Advent was approximately 2,000 years ago and is as recorded in the Biblical Gospels. His Second Advent (John 14:1-4) is almost upon us, but there will be no Secret Rapture (Mat. 24:27-31; 1Thes. 4:16-18) nor seven years of tribulation (Rev. 11:2; 13:5) before He Comes again. There is also a Third Advent which comes after the Final Millennium, on Judgment Day, and is just before the Earth is Made New (Rev. 20:7-15; 21:1-5).

                                      The  Seventh - day  Sabbath

. — The Seventh-day Sabbath was made for Man (Mark 2:27,28) -- not just the Jews. It was made and commanded as a rest day about three thousand years before there ever was a Jew. Meaning, it was made and commanded as a rest day since Creation (Gen. 2:2,3).

                                  The  Three  Angel's  Messages

 — Revelation 14 records the Three Angel's Messages (four, actually, counting ch. 18), which the end-time, remnant People of God must deliver to the world. Those messages are: Worship the Creator God only and give glory to Him, the False religions of Spiritual Babylon have fallen, and Come out of Spiritual Babylon or suffer the same fate as her. The Fourth Angel's Message repeats and expands upon the prior three angels' messages.

                                  The  Sanctuary  in  Heaven

, — When Man ceased to be responsible for carrying out the requirements of the Sacrificial and Ceremonial Laws, at the Cross, then Jesus Christ, as our High Priest, Lord, and Saviour, has continued to carry out the requirements of those laws from the Heavenly Sanctuary made without hands (Heb. 9:11-28) -- of which the earthly sanctuary was but a copy, a shadow (Heb. 8:1-5; Rev. 15:5).

Non - immortality  of  the  Wicked

 — The wicked are not tortured forever in a place called Hell because that would mean the wicked must be immortal. The Bible says none are immortal, but God (1Tim. 6:13-16), and that the righteous will put on immortality when Jesus comes to receive us unto Himself (1Cor. 15:51-53). The Bible also says that the wicked will burn up to ashes (Mal. 4:1,3) and that the Lake of Fire will go out when there is nothing more to burn (Isa. 47:14).

Baptism by Immersion, the Ordinance of Humility, and The Lord's Supper

 — These ordinances were added by our Lord Jesus Christ, during His First Advent, as requirements for all Christians whom would follow Him (Mat. 28:19,20; Mark 16:15,16; Luke 22:15-20; John 13:3-15; 1Cor. 11:23-26).

                         The  State  of  the  Dead

 — When a person dies, there is no immortal soul nor eternal spirit which lives on. The dead go to their graves, as if asleep (Psa. 13:3; John 11:11-14), knowing nothing nor having anything to do with things under the sun (Eccl. 9:5,6), and await either the first resurrection unto salvation or the second resurrection unto damnation (Dan. 12:2; John 5: 28,29 ). These two resurrections take place 1,000 years apart (Rev. 20:1-5).

                        Creation  in  Seven  Literal  Days

 — God said that there was a literal Creation which occurred in seven literal days ( Exodus 20:11 ) and we accept His Word on that subject.

                           The  Perpetuity  of  God's  Law

. — None of God's Law can ever be changed nor can ever be abolished (Psa. 89:34-37; Mat. 5:18), for God's Law is a transcript of God's Character and God never changes (Psa. 15:1-5; Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8).
