Conference Call Rules of Order
Time limit to discuss a paragraph after a reading of the paragraph - maximum time is 20 minutes. Timekeeper announces how much time remains when a comment ends after the 17 minute point.
Time limit for someone on the call to make a comment - maximum time is 3 minutes. At 2 min. 30 seconds the Timekeeper will announce - "30 seconds remaining" at 3 minutes the Timekeeper says, "Time is up, please stop"
Any disputes or requests for more time are decided by the moderator.
If a person who has exceeded the 3 min. time limit wants to finish the comment, this can be done only if the paragraph discussion did not exceed 20 minute maximum and there are no more comments from other people.
There is no tolerance of insults or personal attacks made on any other person on the call. We can disagree without being disagreeable.
